PJ’s Bar-B-QSA Restaurant Saratoga Springs, NY

Phinney Design Group worked with PJ’s BAR-B-Q and Adirondack Scenic Studios to create a brand identity for the new BAR-B-QSA franchise. For nearly 30 years PJ’s BAR-B-Q has served Saratoga Springs seasonally, and reopened in Spring 2012 as a year-round establishment. The former PJ’s BAR-B-Q was renovated to become the BAR-B-QSA Flagship restaurant, which included new public restrooms, remodeling the existing kitchen, adding a new service line and dining room, as well as a new exterior facade and roof.

This project encompassed distinctive new interiors, an updated exterior, and several efficiency upgrades. The rebranded BAR-B-QSA concept is reminiscent of the rustic nature of America’s quintessential barbecue restaurants, using inexpensive yet well crafted, American-made materials, lending to cost effective yet dramatic flair.
