GE Power & Water Building Schenectady , NY

Phinney Design Group participated in a design competition working for GE Power & Water to construct a new addition and renovate a 1950’s industrial building located on the historic GE Plant located in Schenectady, New York. The building program incorporated a new ‘pub style’ cafeteria, bank, GE IT Experience similar to an Apple Store, and the GE Fastworks space which revolutionizes the workplace creating a new environment which will improve performance, speeds innovation and fosters a healthy office culture. The Fastworks space located on the second floor will support relationship building within GE and propel interdisciplinary teams to deliver innovative prototype engineering solutions in a timely manner.
