Adirondack Trust Company Saratoga Springs, NY
After a fire destroyed this bank location in 2017, our firm was hired to design its replacement and expand Adirondack Trust’s recent re-branding efforts.
The building is structured with clean lines and minimalist detailing that set it apart from its more traditional neighbors. A natural material palette was selected to accompany its modern Adirondack styling: locally sourced stone, timber, metal, and glass. The front façade is an expansive glass wall, allowing for ample natural light and enhanced building security.
The primary roof is pitched at the optimal angle for sun exposure, allowing for the implementation of a solar array in the near future. A smaller flat roof above the drive-up ATM and drive-thru is designed as a green roof, mitigating harmful heat absorption and collecting stormwater runoff. The building itself is rotated from the original footprint to more optimally engage both Maple Avenue and Northern Pines Road. The updated parking lot also improves safety, functionality, and increases overall green space.
