Saratoga Springs, NY- Phinney Design Group was lucky enough to recently take home an AIANYS Excelsior Award for our work on The Bio Building at The Natural History Museum of the Adirondacks in Tupper Lake! Natural History Museum of The Adirondacks also known as “The Wild Center,” is a celebration of the wildlife and community of the Adirondacks, featuring live exhibits such as otters in their own waterfall and trout that swim over visitors’ heads. The museum is highly interactive, encouraging visitors to truly experience the animals, plants, and ecology of the Adirondack region. The Natural History Museum considers itself a signature example of sustainable design and hopes to be a model for future green building in the Adirondacks and beyond.
