Phinney Design Group Project Wins Preservation Award

Phinney Design Group, a multi-disciplinary Architecture and Interior Design Firm in Saratoga Springs, designed a home that was presented with a Preservation Recognition Award from the Saratoga Springs Preservation Foundation. These awards, designated every May as a celebration of National Preservation Month, were presented by Mayor Scott Johnson on Thursday, May 30, 2013 at the Spring Street Gallery.

Twelve projects were honored for exterior rehabilitations, porch renovations, adaptive reuse, and other restoration s that preserve historic properties throughout Saratoga Springs. An award for adaptive reuse was presented to Charlene Wood Courtney and Robert Courtney, the homeowners who completed the construction and interior design, for their transformation of the vacant carriage house located at 53 Greenfield Ave. into a beautiful single – family residence.
